Artificial Intelligence just defeated humans, and its pretty scary.

Artificial Intelligence just bent these Pro gamers over and Spanked them. Elon Musk and OpenAI just created an AI that showed us, humans, what’s up.

This month, Top DotA2 players from around the world gathered at an event called The International 7. An eSports event that is probably one of the most well known among the gaming community. I mean, with a prize pool of 24 million (correct me if I’m wrong). This is an insane amount to take home. Obviously the winners don’t take the full 24 mill, but the first place does take home a casual $10.5 million… Chump change for Mr. B. Bougie.

The funny part about this is that these pro gamers probably make more than some pro sports players… So to all you young people thinking of starting a career in E-Sports, now is the time to tell your parents, “Screw you mom and dad, I’m chasing my dreams…”

But this isn’t what I want to talk about. Although the insane popularity of this event and the prize pool is truly awe-inspiring, the real story lies almost hidden behind the scenes in a small mini event which involved some of the top dogs of DotA2 going up against an AI created by OpenAI, a non-profit AI research company co-founded by Elon Musk.

But I’m getting ahead of myself, so let me just give you a little background about this story. DotA2 is a very complex game, involving two teams of 5 to battle against each other in order to destroy the “Ancient” of the opposing team.

A game that requires not just skill and quick thinking, but also insane teamwork and strategy, what a perfect testing ground for a machine to attempt to defeat humans, us cocky humans, who seem to think we are above everything else. Then there is the AI created by OpenAI. After playing against itself for 2 weeks, 24 hours a day, it failed and learned, failed and learned, failed and learned,

Then there is the Artificial Intelligence. After playing against itself for 2 weeks, 24 hours a day, it failed and learned, failed and learned, failed and learned, till it became the monster it is now.

OpenAI’s AI is definitely something else. By something else, I should say, this AI practically made these gamers it’s bitch. In record time I might add.

So what does this mean for us humans, well first off it means we are truly fucked if this AI ever gained conciousness and was unleashed onto the world wide web. Im kidding, but really though, Artificial Intelligence has been noted to be a possible harbringer of the end of humanity. Kinda reminds you of that movie. which one was it? AH yes, Terminator.

Second, Elon Musk along with the world’s smartest man, Stephen Hawking, both warned of the potential danger of creating AI that can one day possibly destroy mankind. SO my question is… Why the fuck are we still developing AI? Well in truth, AI can help humanity as much as it can possibly destroy us. Can you imagine a doctor that makes no mistakes, or a lawyer that has every law memorized and can save your sorry ass from paying that stupid speeding ticket that you got after waking up late for work because you decided it would be a good idea to smoke an ounce doobie with your stoner friends the night before.

I end this post with this, Mankind is pretty much doomed regardless of where we decide to go. We all eventually die, so there really is no point. The only question is, will we be able to make life better or worst for the generations to come? I don’t know, but all I can say is; Dear Humanity, smarten the fuck up please, before we end up being enslaved by the very things we create. Not that we aren’t already.
