Since Donald J. Trump became the President, Americans have seen an uptick in racial discrimination and violence.
It seems as though, the President has given these Neo-Nazi and White “Nationalists” the courage to openly profess their hate.
Understandably, America is the land of the free and with that, free speech is one of those ideologies. Who are we to judge what others have to say. At the end of the day, we are given the choice to acknowledge it or not.
But as time goes on, this hate becomes more courageous, more profound, and more deadly.
There have been many incidents involving racial violence in the past few months, not just in America, but all over the world.
I believe we must all stand up against this. We must not let these ideas become actions. If that were the case, then those who fought and died for us in World War II, their lives would have been lost for nothing.
We are all mankind, and we should all treat each other as such. Less the colour of your skin or the religion you believe in, our blood will always run red.
A group known as Life After Hate (a.k.a Exit USA) is trying to help those who want to exit the movement.
They are a group of former neo-Nazis and ex-white supremacists, “dedicated to inspiring individuals to a place of compasion and forgiveness, for themselves and for all people.” They travel to schools and do public appearances to bring awareness to hate groups.
There are also videos from the ExitUSA.org website, which pledge “no judgment, just help”.
